Thunder and rain early am, glad not in tent. Stopping in last town before mountains, very fake wild west. Eating at Three-fingered Jack's saloon, as you can imagine.
I happen to love Three Fingered Jacks! Lots of nostalgia there after frequenting that town for the last 25 years. Winthrop is a pretty special place, albeit tainted by some of the hokey tourism and themes, it has amazing access to the outdoors. I've spent a lot of time there in the winter and summer and will be there in August!
